Commodities Middle East Summit
The global commodities map is undergoing the most significant change in decades, driven by international conflicts, geopolitical divisions, supply chain fracturing, and the energy transition. At the centre of this profound change, the Middle East is emerging as one of the most influential commodities hubs and logistics routes – but also a target for attacks and disruption, as Iranian retaliation for US and Israeli air strikes has demonstrated.
And the region is not only critical to the oil and gas market; Gulf states are pursuing ambitious programmes for economic diversification. Strategic investments in infrastructure and advanced logistics are expanding activity in metals, mining, and petrochemicals — attracting a further influx of global traders, energy companies, financiers, and technology players.
To explain these shifting market dynamics — and the threats posed by military action — the FT is now launching the Commodities Middle East Summit. Building upon the success of its flagship Commodities Global Summit in Lausanne, this new event will bring together senior figures from leading trading houses, sovereign wealth funds, energy companies and policy-making bodies to examine the regional industry. The programme will explore how local and global players can manage geopolitical risk, develop resilient supply chains and capture the next phase of growth in the markets for oil and gas, energy, metals and agricultural produce.
We’re pleased to be finalising the event location and will share confirmation soon. In the meantime, register your interest to be first in line for updates and announcements.
